Nintendo Entertainment System

The Nintendo Entertainment System was released in 1985, and its 8-bit might brought the entire video game industry out of the confusing failing mess that it had been in two years prior.

It set the standard for game design and controller layout for all future consoles. Many of the most memorable classic games were for this very console. It dominated the market until the release of the Sega Genesis a few years later.

Remember when I was a little boy, I could play it for hours everyday. After so many years, so much hardware and software upgrade, when playing the games on iPhone, them still feel refreshing. This tutorial will teach you how to play Nintendo games on iPhone.

1. Install NES through Cydia . The source is at www.zdziarski.com/projects/nesapp and if you don’t find it in Cydia, you can download the game from that site, and copy it over to /var/mobile/Applications. You’ll need to install respring through Cydia to make the icon appear.
2. You can download the ROM for Sack of Flour, a platform game similar to the Mario series, to emulate on your iPhone from http://bobrost.com/nes/games.php. Gather up the ROM(s) for the game(s) you want to play.
3. Copy these files to /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/NES/ (Copy Files from Computer to your iPhone explains how to copy files to your iPhone)
